The Eduardo Capa Foundry, through the incorporation of its new workshop, now has 11 ,000 m2 of area to work with to offer its clients various services, bringing to bear the following technical resources:


NEW ADDITIONS



  • For carrying out reproductions, expansions and reductions:

  • High definition laser scanner for scanning small and medium format objects, capable of 10 points on a 2 x 2 tenths of a mm surface.

  • Long range laser scanner for scanning medium and large format objects, with a max. range of 300 mts.

  • 3 D plaster printer, the largest on the market, for making models based on scanned pieces with a precision of 87 micras, on the surface sculpture.

  • Robot with 4 m arm and 500 kg. of force for milling, grinding and polishing large format pieces in various materials (different fibers, Styrofoam, bronze, stainless steam, iron, curtain, wood, stone, glass...)

  • 8 software programs for different handling of 3D images according to different needs.


 


In the Production Areas:



  • Incorporation of different low environmental impact acrylic resins into our processes for casting molds and models.

  • High capacity hydraulic wax injector for pieces up to 70 cm. in size.

  • Large format barrels for ceramic sludge

  • High capacity fluid beds for ceramic shell.

  • Large format autoclave for extraction and full recovery of wax.

  • Modulated flame kilns for sintering ceramic molds.

  • State-of-the art 500Kg and 100Kg induction furnaces for bronze fusion

  • Automatic silica sand recovery system.

  • Large capacity shot blasting machine for cleaning smelted pieces through the micro shot-blast process, avoiding inadvertent deterioration on the surface sculpture of pieces.

  • Cabins for high pressure water blowing to clean hooks/plugs with automated cleaning system.

  • Cabin for micro-abrasive sandblasting, for large dimension pieces with glass micro-bead recycling.

  • Two high vacuum machines for extraction of dust and gases at the source, for maintenance and cleaning the work environment of each station.

  • 25 hydraulic work tables with height regulation, featuring adjustable tightener screws to improve conditions for performing different tasks.

  • 5 3.2 Tm cranes, with radio remote control to ease movement maneuvers.

  • 3 6.3 Tm cranes, with radio remote control to ease movement maneuvers.

  • 1 10 Tm crane, with radio remote control to ease movement maneuvers.

  • Climatization system for the work areas.

  • Installation of compressed air with 2 40 cv compressors.

  • Installation of natural gas to supply all the consumption sites on the craft.

  • 4 circuits for pressurized welding gases, with their standard battery of bottles and pressure boosters.

  • 600 KW electric energy transformation center.

  • Electricity installation by means of 600 KW electrified trolley.

  • Installation of webcams for monitoring work from anywhere in the world.
